Virginie Guyot – France

Virginie Guyot

Born in Angers, France, Virginie Guyot (1976 – ) went on a discovery flight when she was 12 years old. Thereafter, she decides to become a pilot.

She goes to a military high school and eventually qualifies for the fighter pilot training course within the Air Force. En 2002, she integrates the Savoie 2/33 Scouting Formation Team. Five years later, she is promoted commander of that team.

She has been a military missions in Tchad, Darfour, Tadjikistan, and Afghanistan.

In 2009, she is selected as a pilot for the Patrouille de France, France’s national aerobatic team and is the first woman to do so. Later that year, she is nominated leader of the team and thus become the first woman to lead a national aerobatic team.
